I want to write about how the Covid 19 pandemic is the worst disaster “we” have lived through and that the impact of climate change is about disrupt “our” lives in many serious ways.
But that invalidates the people who have lived through any of the wars still raging in the world right now. It disregards the people who have been living with the very real impact of climate change in the last decade.
For people living in the UK at the sharp end of austerity policies, maybe Covid 19 wasn’t even that big a blip in the daily grind of living at the wrong end of (probably) the most unequal British society for a century.
I will make mistakes in this blog and I will take short cuts with language to avoid my writing being cumbersome but I promise to do my best to not assume my privilege is shared with any reader.
